Are you looking forward to Christmas? Because preparations for its arrival in Karlín are starting this week. On Monday, the Christmas tree on Karlín Square will be lit, and on Sunday, St. Nicholas will visit the Karlín Spectrum Youth Center. And if you’re not so much into Christmas things, there are plenty of other events in Karlín.

Event tips
The lighting of the Christmas tree on Karlín Square
The string trio “String Ladies,” the vocal choir “Joyful,” the children’s choir “Fringilla – ZUŠ Taussigova,” and the band “Třehusk” will be performing. The event will also feature a live nativity scene, numerous stalls offering refreshments and Christmas gifts.

Come and experience the pre-Christmas Czech tradition. Another earthly year is behind us, which means that the devil, angel, and St. Nicholas face the challenging task once again of praising and rewarding those who have been good all year and, conversely, reprimanding and giving coal to those who haven’t tried so hard. You can look forward to St. Nicholas workshops, angelic theater, and a rich individual share-out. We have prepared both outdoor and indoor options for you.
